Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Educator to join our team at Desert Regional Medical Center. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of educational programs for nursing staff, with a focus on ICU and PCU specialties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with nursing directors and managers to create educational content that meets department-specific needs.
  • Provide guidance, educational support, and leadership throughout the organization.
  • Encourage staff to pursue higher education, certification, and attend/participate in professional development activities.
  • Model behaviors that reflect participation and leadership in activities within the organization.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with current enrollment in a Master's in Nursing program.
  • Current, unencumbered licensure to practice in the State of California.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching adult learners.
  • Minimum of 5 years recent clinical experience in the specialty for which the applicant desires to become educator.
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office products.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills and professional demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MSN-Education.
  • Previous experience as an educator or clinical instructor.
  • Open Heart/Cardiovascular ICU/Cardiothoracic ICU experience (within the past 5 years).
  • Previous experience in Level I or II Trauma Center and Primary/Comprehensive Stroke Center.
  • Previous experience with shared governance models.
Working Conditions

Occasional pressure due to calls, classes, and projects.

Pay range: $92.85 hourly.

**Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications and experience.
