Job Summary:

The Commonwealth Motors Parts Counterperson plays a vital role in our dealership's success. This individual will be responsible for assisting customers and technicians in locating and ordering the necessary parts for vehicle repairs and maintenance. This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry, perfect for individuals with technical knowledge and excellent customer service skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary for this position is $65,000 per year, with opportunities for bonuses and incentives. In addition to competitive pay, we offer full benefits including health insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, and employee discounts on services and vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers and technicians in locating and ordering the correct parts for vehicle repairs and maintenance
  • Keep accurate records of all parts transactions and inventory levels
  • Process payments and handle cash and credit transactions
  • Maintain the parts department in an organized and clean manner
  • Keep up to date with new parts and products in the market
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of parts for repairs
  • Provide exceptional customer service at all times
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in parts sales or automotive industry preferred
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and their function
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficient in computer systems and programs
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Physically able to lift and move heavy parts as needed
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
