Cabot Park Village is currently in search of a vibrant and personable Activities Director to lead our community's engagement initiatives. The Activities Director will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and executing a diverse range of programs that cater to the interests of our residents, ensuring a dynamic and fulfilling activity schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a variety of events and programs aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents in assisted living.
- Assess and evaluate programs to ensure they meet the diverse needs of all residents.
- Create an engaging weekly activity schedule that includes a range of options for all residents.
- Organize monthly family-oriented events to encourage participation and facilitate planning.
- Lead and facilitate programming in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings according to the established schedule.
- Encourage and support residents in pursuing independent activities, both individually and in small groups.
- Recognize that all aspects of care can be viewed as an activity, supporting residents' abilities.
- Produce a high-quality monthly newsletter and calendar, along with a daily activity schedule, using Benchmark's internal communication platforms.
- Manage and support programming staff, including transportation services and community van operations.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with knowledge of aging and disability issues.
- Experience and training to develop suitable programs for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
- Demonstrated management and leadership capabilities.
- Previous experience working with senior populations is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is advantageous.
