Palliative Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Palliative Care Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. This full-time, regular position offers a salary range of $115,000 - $173,000 per annum and provides opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies, relevant certification, and authorization from the Texas Board of Nursing. Additionally, candidates must meet the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) requirements if working in Pediatrics - Patient Care department.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough symptom assessments and develop effective treatment plans
- Collaborate with clinicians to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Utilize strong organizational skills to ensure seamless continuity of care
- Educate patients and families on comfort measures and quality of life strategies
