Position Summary: This role involves directing and coordinating activities related to the management, acquisition, installation, and maintenance of internal communication and information systems, along with associated equipment. Responsibilities include setting up new computers, ensuring network security, collaborating with external IT vendors, and implementing various software solutions as required. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, network security, and Meraki networking equipment is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the dealership-wide computer systems and related peripherals.
- Establish and maintain the dealership's network environment, directories, and security protocols, ensuring regular backups of all files and permissions.
- Utilize expertise in the maintenance and operation of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
- Provide training to staff on dealership and manufacturer computer systems.
- Enhance the effective use of dealership systems by analyzing user requirements.
- Oversee the procurement of all computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Coordinate equipment installation and maintenance with department managers to minimize communication disruptions and ensure operational efficiency.
- Assist department heads in setting up and optimizing management information systems.
- Design, develop, and update computer-generated forms, manuals, management reports, and other documentation as needed.
- Participate in management meetings.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
