Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Atlas Copco Compressors LLC - North America Customer Center. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing safe and high-quality service to our customers, performing routine preventive service, troubleshooting and repairing air compressors, air dryers, and other industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot and repair air compressors, air dryers, and other industrial equipment
  • Set, install, and pipe compressor systems
  • Display ability to absorb a higher level of learning, including VSD's, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits
  • Pressure wash and clean customer's entire equipment pad, including skids, coolers, concrete, tanks, etc.
  • Communicate with customers and Service Manager regarding all services performed and clearly present all options for any required repairs, upgrades, or other customer needs
  • Complete all service-related documentation, including service reports, start-up forms, warranty forms, oil sample forms, and parts return documents
  • Attend training at our Air Academy and train with Senior Service Technicians
  • Promote and practice proper safety procedures and correct use of personal protective equipment
  • Provide high level of customer service and respond to customer needs while working to satisfy customer expectations
  • Participate in rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool with other Technicians as scheduled by the Service Manager, with travel to customer locations, including out-of-town and overnight travel
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of technical experience in mechanical, maintenance, or electrical field
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks within assigned deadlines
  • Customer-focused and take ownership of meeting customer's needs
  • Ability to use computers to complete work orders, ordering parts and training
  • Supply all basic required tools
  • Participate in occasional travel to Rock Hill, SC for paid training
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and work in industrial environments, including extremes in temperature, with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling
  • Basic understanding of mechanics and electrical theory
  • Ability to use computers to complete work orders
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, certifications a plus (EPA Certified)
  • Valid driver's license and fluent in English

  • $27-$36.55/hr. salary based on knowledge, skills, and experience, with geographic adjustment for cost-of-living factors
