Job Title: Field Service Technician

At Xylem, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our customers in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate and execute field service activities at customer sites in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Proactive system troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and diesel equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and parts inventory, and anticipate and correct safety issues.
  • Direct interfacing with customers and may be responsible for work in multiple systems/locations/customers.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Capable of obtaining a CDL, class A or B with applicable endorsements.
  • May have industry-specific licenses.
  • Ability to obtain all required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.).
  • Ability to obtain a DOT Medical card.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Work experience preferred, with 2-5 years of technical work experience including industrial or commercial process water experience.
Preferred Skills:
  • Electrical, mechanical, diesel, and fusion experience depending on business unit.
  • Work without direct supervision and can provide coaching/training to entry-level technicians.
  • Technically sound.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Must have customer service experience.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability.
  • Derives insight from customer experience to produce outcomes and solve moderately complex problems often in novel and unexpected ways.
