About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at ABB. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service to our customers, ensuring their equipment is running efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines.
  • Deliver quality customer service, planning and executing service work as per customer order and expectation.
  • Showcase expertise by ensuring customer retention through effective communication of service work timelines and expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer operations and eliminate pain points.
  • Perform field service tasks, including technical issue identification and analysis.
  • Prepare material lists and ensure all necessary materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality.
  • Act as a trainer for field service associates and customers when needed.
Requirements
  • 2 years of technical or electrical school minimum or relevant military or work experience.
  • Prior field service or similar/relevant military experience a plus.
  • PDU, STS, UPS, and 3-phase power distribution equipment experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% with some overnight stays expected.
  • Candidates must have a valid work authorization to work in the US.
