Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Gregory Poole Equipment Company. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on material handling equipment, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
  • Use repair manuals and technical documentation to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues.
  • Load and unload equipment and parts from service trucks, and use hoists and other equipment to lift and move heavy parts.
  • Use hand and power tools to disassemble and reassemble equipment, and perform welding and other fabrication tasks as needed.
  • Perform safety checks and inspections on equipment and vehicles, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to provide excellent customer service and support.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 6 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance, with a minimum of 2 years of experience on Hyster, Yale, Clark, or similar equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems, including transmissions, engines, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Valid state driver's license required, with a safe driving record and ability to operate company vehicles.
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent travel to customer sites, and may involve working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, and to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
