Job Description

The Senior Accounting Director will be responsible for managing the company's financial accounts, documenting and maintaining day-to-day financial transactions, and following proper accounting procedures to reach financial objectives.

Duties:
  • Reconcile company accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements and analysis for the entire organization.
  • Maintain and oversee all accounting procedures and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
  • Record and research all financial information for in-depth analysis.
  • Develop and implement budget reports, prepare budgets, and analyze budget performance.
  • Document and interpret complex financial information for executive decision-making.
  • Provide guidance on financial management, system development, and process improvement.
  • Forecast and plan according to fiscal needs.
  • Monitor and document daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Identify new business opportunities and generate leads through market research and networking.
  • Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Built strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and addressing concerns or issues.
  • Prepare sales proposals and contracts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful solution implementation.
Requirements

To be successful as a Senior Accounting Director, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an accounting supervisor or manager.
  • Proficiency with accounting software ZohoBooks.
  • Experience with software system implementation a plus.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles and GAAP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
  • Understanding of Construction or Permit Expediting a plus.
  • Ability to manage employees while handling large projects.
  • High levels of accountability.
  • Solid references or letters of recommendation.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
