Insurance Program Director

Union Privilege, a nonprofit organization founded by the AFL-CIO in 1986, seeks an experienced Insurance Program Director to manage all aspects of its insurance programs. With a focus on service quality, reporting, and marketing, this role requires strong analytical and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the insurance industry, with current Life & Health and Property & Casualty agent licenses. A thorough knowledge of the insurance industry and state licensing process is essential, as well as experience with affinity programs/relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of insurance programs, including operational issues and service quality.
  • Assist in implementing insurance programs and changes to current programs, including RFP process and contract negotiation.
  • Maintain active and current personal insurance licenses.
  • Monitor adherence to contracts and maintain current insurance policy files.
  • Manage budget and commission accounting for the Union Plus insurance agency.
  • Participate on the Insurance Team and act as liaison between the Insurance Trustees and the agency.
  • Interface with vendors and keep abreast of complaints for programs.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
