Senior Systems Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Systems Integrator to join our team at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the integration of complex systems and overseeing software development activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the integration of a complex system of systems for US Navy platforms
- Oversee software development activities, including identifying, quantifying, and prioritizing solutions to address technical issues
- Schedule development of and prioritize software features, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results
- Communicate effectively with sponsors, partners, and vendors to ensure successful project outcomes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical challenges
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems Security, or related field
- 7+ years of experience leading development and integration teams for complex systems
- Proficiency in recommending and obtaining proper approval for deviations from established policies and procedures
- Experience with version control systems, including Git or Perforce and Git Flow branching schemes
- Extensive experience with designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using agile methods
- Active Secret security clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret level clearance
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 10-15 years of experience with US Navy Combat Systems, weapons, sensors, or other related operational military technology
- Previous experience leading system design and/or architecture development for a complex system in current operational use
- Extensive experience planning for and leading complex hardware and/or software integration activities
- Strong understanding of software architectures, networking, and Linux
- Ability to demonstrate in-depth understanding of integration design patterns, security best practices, and communication protocols/techniques
