Capital One is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead our team in delivering a game-changing core banking platform. As a key member of our software engineering team, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and mentoring a team of talented software engineers to design, develop, and deploy innovative software solutions.

  • Leading and managing a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Designing and developing software solutions that meet the needs of our customers
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software solutions
  • Identifying and mitigating technical risks and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Developing and implementing software engineering best practices and standards
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • At least 9 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on leadership and management
  • Proven experience in designing and developing software solutions using Agile methodologies
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
