Job Title: Administrative Specialist

Join the City of Aspen team as an Administrative Specialist in the Parking Department. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, administrative support, and enforcement functions to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide world-class customer service to the public, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing solutions.
  • Perform cashier responsibilities, including revenue collection, sales of permits and passes, and processing of parking tickets.
  • Manage service meter requests, including setup, education, and refill as needed.
  • Assist with data entry, billing, and payment receiving for reserved parking spaces.
  • Count and balance coins received from meters bi-weekly and maintain coin log spreadsheets.
  • Process ticket dispute forms and mail out responses as approved by the Parking Programs Manager.
  • Print, process, and mail overdue parking ticket notices.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two years' experience in customer service, administrative, and clerical work experience, cash handling, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook Email and basic understanding of computers and online computer-based technology applications.
  • Valid Colorado Driver's License or ability to obtain one within 30 days of start date.
Work Environment:

This role is based in the City of Aspen's Parking Department and requires working in an office environment with occasional meetings, trainings, and site visits at various city facilities and areas.

Physical Demands:

This role requires standing, sitting, walking, and bending, with occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
