Position Overview
As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their stay. Your role is crucial in ensuring that each guest feels welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. Your expertise in guest relations, attention to detail in room assignments, and comprehensive knowledge of hotel amenities will contribute to creating memorable experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests with a genuine and warm greeting upon arrival.
- Manage guest check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accuracy in reservations and guest profiles.
- Issue room keys while maintaining confidentiality and security.
- Uphold guest privacy and discretion at all times.
- Handle guest accounts with precision, adhering to service standards.
- Maintain a cash bank and accurately report daily transactions in line with company policies.
- Assist guests with inquiries about hotel services and facilities in a friendly and informative manner.
- Promote hotel services and drive revenue through upselling opportunities.
- Foster strong relationships with other departments to enhance guest experiences.
- Facilitate reservations for guests at the front desk or via phone.
- Deliver professional and engaging service consistently.
- Address and resolve guest concerns, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Prior experience in front office operations within a luxury environment is advantageous.
- Proficient in Front Office Systems, including Micros-Fidelio and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional guest service orientation, demonstrating empathy and innovative thinking.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Willingness to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
- Comfortable working in a pet-friendly environment.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
