Job Title: Head of Civil Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Civil Engineering to lead our Land Development team in Charlotte and the Piedmont Carolinas region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to drive business growth and expansion in the region.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for service diversification and client acquisition.
  • Lead the implementation of our CRM and client management strategies to grow the opportunities pipeline.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines and service lines to deliver high-quality projects and services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve profitability and growth goals for the practice.
  • Ensure timely and efficient delivery of projects, consulting, and services.
  • Prepare and review project contracts, invoices, and financial reports.
  • Oversee the overall performance of the office, including P&L management and high-level client interaction.
  • Foster a positive and enjoyable work environment for team members.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key contacts and connections in the Charlotte market and surrounding region.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or equivalent.
  • PE licensure in NC (or ability to obtain PE within 3 months of hire), PLA/RLA, or AICP.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in adjusting to priorities and demands from multiple clients and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Firm understanding of risk management and loss prevention.
  • Superior organizational and planning skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including MS Office, Teams, SharePoint, and relevant technical software.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record.
