Job Summary

The Recovery Support Specialist plays a vital role in assisting with the implementation and operation of programs within an adult psychiatric residential recovery center. This position functions at an advanced paraprofessional level, assisting with the delivery of appropriate services, observing and documenting patient wellbeing, and providing direct patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the implementation and operation of programs within the adult psychiatric residential recovery center
  • Participate in observation and documentation of patient wellbeing
  • Provide direct patient care by planning, organizing, and implementing recovery and rehabilitation activities
  • Assist with the admissions and discharge processes
  • May drive official vehicles and supervise patients during outings
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • No experience is required
  • Ability to become familiar with HIPAA regulations and protect all protected health information (PHI)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a therapeutic environment and maintain confidentiality of patient information. The employee shall become familiar with HIPAA regulations and do their utmost to protect all protected health information (PHI) and other personal or sensitive information within their trust in the course of state business.
