The primary objective of this role is to exercise advanced supervisory and managerial responsibilities over the 882d Training Flight.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, organize, and oversee the operations of the 882d Training Flight.
2. Exercise supervisory management duties, ensuring effective personnel management.
3. Represent the Training Support Flight in various organizational settings.
4. Oversee the development and implementation of training programs.
5. Manage all programming activities related to a designated group of courses.
Qualifications:
To qualify, candidates must meet the specialized experience criteria as outlined in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, specifically for the GS-1750, Instructional Systems Series.
Basic Requirement:
Applicants must possess a degree that includes or is supplemented by at least 24 semester hours relevant to the position, covering at least four of the following areas:
1. Learning theory and educational psychology.
2. Instructional design methodologies.
3. Educational program evaluation techniques.
4. Development of instructional products.
5. Application of computers in education and training.
Specialized Experience:
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service, demonstrating knowledge of training administration, policies, and instructional design.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Proficient in training development and management.
2. Familiarity with safety and security regulations.
3. Strong organizational and planning skills.
4. Effective communication abilities, both written and oral.
5. Capability to assess program objectives and progress.
Additional Information:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid or part-time work, including volunteer experience. All qualifying experience will be considered.
Education:
If education is used to qualify, transcripts must be submitted with the application. Official transcripts are not required at the time of application but must be verified prior to appointment.
