Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Accountant to join our team at the State of Connecticut. As a key member of our Cash Management Division, you will be responsible for providing financial management expertise and ensuring the effective use of public resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare daily cash projections and wire transfers for review and approval
  • Maintain databases and backup for all daily cash moves
  • Update files supporting daily cash activity
  • Partner with various agencies to assist with problem resolution and adjustments
  • Perform ad-hoc project work as assigned
Requirements
  • Seven (7) years of experience in accounting or auditing
  • One (1) year of experience at the level of an Accountant, Auditor, or Accounts Examiner
  • College training in accounting or a closely related field may be substituted for experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Experience with PeopleSoft or CORE CT Financial systems
  • Experience with Microsoft EXCEL and access databases
  • Experience with cash accounting and bank systems
  • Experience with financial reporting
