Job Title: Program Specialist

Arrowhead Center at New Mexico State University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Specialist to support the development, implementation, and execution of incubator and innovation programs.

Job Summary:

The Program Specialist will work closely with the Arrowhead Center team to plan, coordinate, and administer all facets of the day-to-day operations of the program, including program planning, development, implementation, and leadership. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, and implement strategies for identifying and generating funding and/or resource opportunities for program activities, to include supporting the development of grant and other fundraising proposals.
  • Provide technical guidance, consultation, and support to clientele within the area of program focus, including day-to-day problem solving as necessary on day-to-day program-related needs and issues.
  • Oversee and/or coordinate the collection, compilation, and analysis of program activity data, developing, writing, editing, and presenting comprehensive statistical and narrative program reports and evaluations.
  • Participate in the development of operating goals and objectives for the unit, recommending, implementing, and administering methods and procedures to enhance operations, as appropriate to the unit.
  • May supervise student employees, including work allocation, training, and enforcement of internal procedures and controls, as well as problem resolution, performance evaluation, and personnel actions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • One (1) year of professional experience related to the standard duties as outlined.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Specialized knowledge and expertise within designated area of program focus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
Working Conditions:

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. No or very limited physical effort required.
