**Job Summary**

STV Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our Transportation & Infrastructure Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing stormwater management plans and reports for various projects.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Prepare stormwater management plans and reports for roadway, transit, rail, and culvert/bridge projects.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic studies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate permitting through various water management agencies to ensure timely project completion.
  • Participate in project development meetings with clients to discuss project scope and requirements.
  • Coordinate design development and provide technical direction to junior staff members.
  • Assist with the development of specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
  • Establish working relationships with client technical staff and project managers to ensure effective project execution.
  • Mentor junior water resource design staff to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Biological, Agricultural, or related discipline).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Water Resources and Stormwater Design Engineering.
  • NC PE license is required.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic software such as Geopak Drainage, StormCAD, and HEC-RAS modeling.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for client and engineering discipline interaction.
  • Knowledge and experience of NC Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and Local government design and permitting requirements.
