  1. Position Responsibilities:
    • The Lawn Maintenance Crew Supervisor is expected to possess extensive knowledge of all facets of lawn and landscape upkeep, including but not limited to: cleanups, mowing, mulching, trimming, edging, bed maintenance, and fertilization. This role involves operating all necessary equipment and effectively communicating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. The supervisor will work with minimal oversight while leading a team of two to four employees, ensuring all tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
  2. Reporting Structure:
    • Reports directly to the Manager or Supervisor.
  3. Required Skills and Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or GED is required.
    • A minimum of four years of experience in lawn and landscape maintenance, along with team leadership experience.
    • Possession of a valid driver's license and eligibility for company insurance.
    • Legal documentation to verify employment eligibility.
    • Physical capability to manage the demands of the role.
    • Full mobility in both upper and lower body.
    • Able to lift up to 75 pounds independently.
    • Ability to engage with clients in a professional and courteous manner daily.
  4. Key Responsibilities:
    • Thorough understanding of all aspects of lawn and landscape maintenance.
    • Safe and effective operation of company vehicles and maintenance equipment.
    • Conduct daily preventative maintenance on all company equipment.
    • Order necessary materials as required.
    • Demonstrate leadership skills to effectively manage a small crew.
    • Meet or exceed company productivity standards.
    • Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions.
    • Document and report all workers' compensation claims and accidents promptly.
    • Identify additional service opportunities and process change orders as needed.
    • Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
    • Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure project phases are completed on time.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the crew truck.
    • Complete all necessary job paperwork, including purchase orders and timesheets.
    • Foster a positive team environment and maintain high morale.
    • Analyze job cost reports effectively.
    • Comply with company policies and procedures.
    • Work independently while knowing when to seek assistance.
    • Engage in ongoing education and training as recommended.
