- Role Description:
- The Lawn Care Team Supervisor is expected to possess in-depth knowledge of all facets of lawn and landscape upkeep, including but not limited to: cleanups, mowing, mulching, trimming, edging, bed maintenance, and fertilization. This role requires proficiency in operating all relevant equipment and effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. The supervisor will work with minimal oversight while leading a team of two to four employees, ensuring a safe working environment and managing all necessary paperwork and administrative tasks.
- Reporting Structure:
- Reports directly to the Manager or Supervisor.
- Qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- At least four years of experience in lawn and landscape maintenance along with team leadership.
- A valid driver's license is necessary, and candidates must be insurable under the company's policy.
- Legal documentation to confirm employment eligibility is required.
- Physical capability to manage the demands of the role.
- Full mobility in both upper and lower body.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds unaided.
- Professional and courteous interaction with clients is essential.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensively understand all aspects of lawn and landscape maintenance.
- Safely and effectively operate company vehicles and maintenance equipment.
- Conduct daily preventative maintenance on all equipment.
- Order necessary materials as required.
- Demonstrate leadership skills to manage and guide a crew of two to four individuals.
- Meet or exceed company standards for productivity in landscape maintenance.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Adhere to safety protocols and report any hazardous conditions to the supervisor.
- Document and report all workers' compensation claims and accidents promptly.
- Identify additional work opportunities and process change orders appropriately.
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure project phases are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized crew vehicle.
- Complete all necessary job documentation, including purchase orders and timesheets.
- Foster a positive team environment and maintain high morale among crew members.
- Analyze job cost reports thoroughly.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
- Work independently while knowing when to seek assistance.
