Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the accounting department to produce timely and accurate financial reports and statements.
  • Analyze and interpret financial information, making recommendations and presenting to clients' leadership.
  • Develop budgets, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Review payroll and payroll tax compliance, property taxes, sales tax, and other annual compliance filings as required.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met and supervise accountants, providing training and mentoring.
Requirements:
  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 10 years, including 5 years prior supervisory experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proven knowledge of US GAAP and accounting processes.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with QuickBooks and CCH ProSystem Engagement experience a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience of accounting/finance systems implementations.
  • Basic understanding of different types of entities and their tax treatment.
