Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Heska. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, operating, repairing, installing, and modifying complex industrial Biological/Pharmaceutical equipment. Your expertise will ensure that our equipment and facilities are in proper working order to meet production needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Maintenance/Repair/Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair equipment, including fill machines, labelers, cappers, traying machines, dry heat ovens, turntables, blister machines, blenders, dust collectors, freeze dryers, walk-in coolers, low temperature freezers, sterilizers, fermenters, bio-reactors, tanks, air handler units, boilers, chillers, pumps, and air compressors.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate water room equipment, central plant equipment, refrigeration systems, and building automation systems.
  • Maintenance Project Management: Install and modify equipment, order parts and supplies, and complete machine updates.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, minimum 5 years industrial mechanic experience, and associate degree or technical diploma in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or industrial maintenance.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Great communication skills, strong aptitude to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, ability to weld stainless steel, and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook email.
Work Environment

Our typical industrial maintenance environment requires the ability to work in a fast-paced setting with frequent lifting and carrying of equipment. You must be comfortable climbing on top of and under machines and working in confined spaces.
