Tenure-Track Faculty Position in International Business

The Sonoco International Business Department at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina, invites applications for two tenure-track positions in International Business at the ranks of Assistant or Associate Professor. The department is committed to developing high-impact scholarship on global business and offers a portfolio of innovative and top-ranked IB-focused academic programs at all levels.
Research and Teaching
The successful candidates will be expected to conduct research and teach courses in international business, with a focus on global strategy, innovation, new technologies, global value chains, sustainability, and business & society. They will also contribute to the department's research centers and initiatives, such as the Folks Center for International Business.
Requirements
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in business administration or a closely related discipline by the start date of employment. They must demonstrate either potential for (Assistant rank) or a proven record of (Associate rank) excellence in research and teaching as evidenced by publications in top academic outlets and by a strong disciplinary and regional/country area of expertise applied to understanding international business phenomena at the organizational and/or institutional level.
Preferred Qualifications
High priority areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, global strategy, innovation, new technologies (e.g., digital platforms, AI, robotics), global value chains, sustainability (including stakeholder management or green finance) and business & society. Additional regional expertise in emerging markets, for instance, Southeast Asia or Africa, is appreciated.

The Sonoco International Business Department is one of the original Centers for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) established by the U.S. Department of Education in 1988. It is home to a world-class faculty and 12 major research centers, and offers a wide range of academic programs, including undergraduate and graduate degrees in international business.
