Job Summary

The Director of Environmental Health and Safety will oversee the company's compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. This role requires a strong leader who can ensure the organization's safety and environmental policies are up-to-date and implemented effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Lead and direct the work of the Health, Safety, and Environmental staff.
  • Develop and implement employee training programs.
  • Ensure the organization's safety and environmental policies are up-to-date and implemented effectively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management or Environmental Health or related field.
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in leading and implementing safety and environmental health programs in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise and knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to function independently and work well as part of a team.
Working Conditions

The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Frequent use of personal protective equipment is required to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.
