About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Low Observable Materials Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our mechanical design team, you will be responsible for developing and integrating advanced materials and technologies to support our Low Observable (LO) weapon systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and characterize advanced materials and processes for LO applications
  • Integrate materials and processes into system-level designs to minimize radar cross-section
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement LO materials and technologies
  • Conduct material measurements and performance predictions using computational electromagnetic codes
  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation and technical reports
  • Participate in program reviews and provide technical expertise to support project goals
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 8+ years of experience in Low Observables or Radar materials engineering
  • Experience in material characterization, performance testing, and/or design
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Experience with high temperature LO materials characterization and integration
  • Competence in utilizing thermal analysis techniques
  • Agile communication and collaboration skills
  • Proposal writing and Basis of Estimate (BOE) development experience
