Job Summary

The Security Specialist is a critical member of our team, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our cannabis cultivation facility. As a Security Specialist, you will provide administrative support to management and be responsible for performing security and safety functions within the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough security checks of all employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries.
  • Ensure all visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers sign in on the sign-in sheet and receive a temporary badge.
  • Maintain accurate records of all security-related activities, including scanned IDs, sign-in sheets, and facility logs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers.
  • Review surveillance video and create event logs from all security systems.
  • Create new badge access cards for new employees, visitors, and vendors.
  • Alert management to any security system discrepancies or issues.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and outgoing office shipments with management.
  • Monitor and maintain quality control measures in accordance with state and local laws.
  • Adhere to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the facility and production areas.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in security operations and procedures required.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and be 21 years of age or older.
Working Environment

Work is performed in a warehouse environment with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
