Medical Provider Specialist

Job Summary:
The Medical Provider plays a vital role in promoting and maintaining health and wellness by providing medical services to clients under the supervision of the Medical Director at Mountainside Treatment Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medical Services: Perform physical examinations, obtain and update medical histories, identify current/active medical issues, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
- Medication Management: Prescribe medication as needed or indicated for clients in detox and residential settings, and evaluate clients' progress and symptoms to make adjustments to medication regimens.
- Client Care: Monitor withdrawal symptoms, attend to health needs, and refer clients to hospital or medical specialists when necessary.
- Documentation and Communication: Complete necessary paperwork, maintain client medical health records, and communicate with referents and other medical providers to ensure comprehensive quality care and continuity of care.
Requirements:
- Education and Qualifications: Active licensure (APRN, PA) in the state of Connecticut and active DEA in the state of Connecticut.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to perform physical assessment of clients, certified in First Aid/CPR, strong oral and written communication, excellent organization and time management skills, professionalism, and computer skills.
- Knowledge and Experience: Experience/knowledge in substance use/detoxification setting.
Benefits:
- Compensation: The base salary for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 per year, with actual pay determined based on job-related factors.
