What You'll Do
The Cashier plays a vital role in providing outstanding customer service and ensuring seamless transaction experiences for our valued patrons.

You will serve as the frontline representative of our brand, responsible for welcoming and engaging with customers, accurately processing transactions, and maintaining a friendly store atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exceed customer expectations by delivering exceptional service through effective communication and attentive listening.
  • Greet customers warmly as they enter the store.
  • Utilize the Cashier script to guide customers through the transaction process and inform them about company programs.
  • Execute cash management, return, layaway, and exchange policies with accuracy and adherence to company standards.
  • Maintain professional and upbeat communication with all Rural King associates and customers.
  • Provide product information and respond to basic customer inquiries, offering recommendations as needed.
  • Coordinate with team members to promptly assist customers.
  • Ensure precise transactions while prioritizing timely service and handling price disputes professionally.
  • Stand in the designated area to indicate availability for customer assistance when not engaged in a transaction.
  • Promote the benefits of joining the Rural King loyalty program.
  • Introduce the advantages of the Rural King Visa card to customers.
  • Respond to incoming calls at the registers with excellent phone etiquette.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of registers and proper filing of paperwork.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings to prevent loss and deliver exceptional service.
  • Execute cashier responsibilities thoroughly, including stocking, cleaning, and managing registers.
  • Participate in cross-training for flexibility in various roles.
  • Engage in learning initiatives to enhance skills and stay updated on industry developments.
