Manchester Subaru is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building relationships with customers, and meeting sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Approach, greet, and offer assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.
- Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
- Understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of changes in product technology, incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc.
- Provide thorough product information and demonstration to all prospects.
- Offer test drives to all prospects and follow dealership procedure to obtain proper identification.
- Exhibit a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Utilize dealership sales control and follow-up system.
- Know and understand federal, state, and local laws governing retail auto sales.
- Establish personal income goals consistent with dealership standards of productivity.
- Know and understand equity and values, and explain depreciation to customers.
- Ensure the sales manager meets each customer and turn 100% of closed deals to finance and insurance manager.
- Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery and deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
- Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance.
- Schedule first service appointments and follow up on post-delivery items and special requests.
- Maintain an owner follow-up system to encourage repeat and referral business.
- Maintain a prospect development and follow-up system.
- Work with the service department and body shop to ensure vehicles are properly reconditioned on schedule.
- Help with the used-vehicle inspection process.
- Write complete sales orders and process paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies.
- Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively.
Requirements
- Previous customer-facing experience in hospitality, food services, customer service, or sales.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate in person, over the phone, and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, and deal with highly confidential information in a fast-paced environment.
