Job Title: Superintendent of Construction

Actalent is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join their team. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a construction project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend meetings with clients and contractors to discuss project progress and address any concerns.
  • Direct the day-to-day supervision of field labor forces, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Review and be familiar with the project budget and general conditions estimate, making adjustments as needed to ensure the project stays on track.
  • Review and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications with the Project Manager, ensuring timely payments and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plans in coordination with the Project Manager, clients, and contractors, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Conduct quality and safety inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts, ensuring all necessary tests are completed and reported accurately.
  • Manage schedules, including the preparation of look-ahead schedules, to ensure all activities are completed on or ahead of scheduled dates.
  • Prepare and submit Superintendent's Daily Reports, providing a clear overview of project progress and any challenges encountered.
  • Participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings and conduct foreman's meetings, to ensure open communication and collaboration.
  • Review and assist in developing scopes of work for each subcontractor, ensuring they are aligned with the project's objectives and requirements.
