Role Summary:

NxT Level is on the lookout for a seasoned Structural Engineer to join their Lakewood, Colorado office. This position presents a remarkable opportunity to engage in nationally recognized projects across advanced industry sectors, including aerospace, data centers, semiconductors, heavy industrial, and manufacturing. The successful candidate will oversee projects and budgets with fees ranging from $20k to over $1.1M. This role promises engaging and impactful work, requiring strong technical, coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills. The candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the future of advanced industries while advancing their career in a nurturing and dynamic environment.

Key Duties:

  • Lead engineering and technician teams to ensure effective project completion.
  • Coordinate structural design efforts both internally and with external consultants.
  • Develop, oversee, and manage project work plans, timelines, and design budgets.
  • Act as the primary liaison with clients and contractors throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Create and implement project-specific quality assurance and quality control plans.
  • Mentor and support the development of less-experienced staff.
  • Participate in project meetings and represent NxT Level during design and construction phases.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • A minimum of 9 years of progressive engineering experience (with advanced degrees counting towards experience).
  • Proven leadership skills that contribute to the company's future success.
  • Experience managing projects in advanced industries such as Aerospace, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Data Center, and Manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Revit software.
  • Experience working within established schedules and budgets.
  • Ability to understand owner processes and coordinate their needs.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with other disciplines.
  • Solid understanding of Architectural, MEP, and Civil systems and their implications on structural work.
  • PE license in Colorado or the ability to obtain one within three months.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Experience in designing and managing projects in advanced industries from inception to completion.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • Advanced project management capabilities.
  • Experience overseeing large projects and budgets.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in handling confidential information.
  • Engagement with owners regarding project delays, feasibility issues, and other challenges.
