Quality Control Inspector Job Description

Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality in our Vehicle Processing Center. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will work closely with multiple teams and vehicles to guarantee world-class attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit in-process procedures and final quality checks on vehicles to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  • Verify vehicle VIN numbers and scheduled work for completion.
  • Maintain quality control records according to company requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of quality problems to management.
  • Follow up on countermeasures to provide input to management on procedure implementation.
  • Audit rail and truck away procedures to customer standards.
  • Identify quality problems associated with vehicles and lead efforts to construct and implement effective countermeasures.
Requirements:
  • Quality control or quality assurance experience and/or mechanical experience.
  • Complete understanding of or ability to quickly learn accessory, distribution, and body shop processes.
  • Ability to identify quality problems and lead efforts to construct and implement effective countermeasures.
  • Read and understand MCPS/SOP, SOS, and suggest changes.
  • Flexibility to quickly learn customer requirements concerning vehicle condition prior to shipment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and hold items up to 50lbs and work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to work overtime when needed.
