Business Development and Managed Care Role
NYU Winthrop seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to drive company development, expansion, and diversification of profitable national and regional contracted business solutions within the acute and post-acute care continuum for home health services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business strategies to identify new leads and potential new markets
- Collaborate with clinical, operations, and sales leadership to define target accounts
- Stay abreast of healthcare industry trends, changes, and opportunities
- Prepare and deliver C-suite and executive-level presentations
- Maintain sales activities documentation in CRM as required
- Respond to business planning and sales reporting requirements as necessary
- Implement appropriate sales structure and prioritize key customer targets in accordance with sales plan
- Gather and organize information on targeted accounts for use in proposal and contract pricing
- Direct the review of existing contracts to determine opportunities to expand, renew, or reduce costs and improve or create accounts profitability
- Direct the collection and analysis of data and marketing intelligence to assess prospective accounts, including business opportunities and account size
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a health-related science (e.g., nursing, pharmacy, etc.)
- Minimum of five years of healthcare and related industry sales experience, including three years in a supervisory role
- Thorough knowledge of sales and marketing techniques, pricing and analysis, and product differentiation techniques
- Extensive experience in consultative sales to senior management of large post-acute organizations, especially managed care companies and ACOs
- Broad knowledge of the healthcare industry, specifically hospitals, skilled and assisted living, case management, home health, and marketing and sales techniques
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, communication skills, and computer literacy
