The Sales Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Sales Channel to drive business growth. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the sales team, ensuring seamless processes, and acting as a liaison between departments.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the full sample process lifecycle, collaborating with sales and lab teams.
- Manage product development entry and task management between sales and lab teams.
- Document requests, both internal and external, to ensure accurate and timely information.
- Cross-functional work as needed to support business objectives.
The Sales Coordinator is expected to handle a variety of tasks that support the sales team. Key skills include strong time-management, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
Dimensions, Tasks, and Essential Functions- Support account executives in managing and developing new business to meet specified sales goals.
- Manage PE/PDR entry for R&D sample initiation, including data entry and version control communication.
- Customer sample preparation and shipping, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Product development approval process, including formula entry and ingredient entry (K-code).
- Identify and deliver customer documentation, artwork, and componentry management.
- Production sensory management for new projects, ensuring quality and consistency.
- PDR sample retain management, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance.
- Manage build of material process when final formula is approved, including creation of spec sheets.
- Function as a liaison between client companies, account executives, and operations staff.
- Successfully hand off to PMO teams to ensure proper handoff and achievement of key milestones.
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of industry product information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
The Sales Coordinator will participate in weekly Sales Channel meetings and cross-functional meetings as needed, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Authority and SupervisionThis position reports directly to the Sales Director and does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Classification and EducationThis is a full-time non-exempt role, requiring a Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in a related field or equivalent experience.
Work Experience- One to two years of related experience or equivalent.
- Experience working in a GMP environment is preferred.
- Three or more years of experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to function as part of a multi-discipline project team.
- Self-starter with a willingness to expand expertise and skill base.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Demonstrated ability to learn, follow, and help refine procedures with minimal oversight.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, electronically, or through other means to individuals and groups.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
