Job Summary

The Field Construction Coordinator will work closely with our construction crews, supporting the general foreman with project documentation, timecards, and pre-fielding. This role will also act as a link between the field and office, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work in the field to support construction crews, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  2. Mark out and submit USA tickets and site survey requests, maintaining accurate records.
  3. Pre-field and layout job sites, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  4. Notify relevant government agencies regarding planned work, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  5. Support operations with daily routine issues, resolving any challenges that may arise.
  6. Gather close out documentation from the field, compiling and submitting As-Builts and completion packs to clients, ensuring 100% accuracy.
  7. Interpret specs and drawings, ordering supplies and materials pertinent to the project.
  8. Assist with inventory and deliveries, ensuring timely receipt of materials.
  9. Place barricades and signage as needed, notifying customers of upcoming work.
  10. Coordinate with the field crew and project management regarding red-line changes, ensuring seamless implementation.
  11. Coordinate with the field crew to gather required backup documentation, including LME signatures, pictures, etc. needed for completion packs, go-backs, and invoicing.
  12. Create, update, and submit crew timecards, maintaining accurate records.
  13. Support pre-construction activities, including all dependencies to setup jobs for timely construction start.
  14. Create Time & Material bills for extra work as required.
  15. Complete daily unit quantities, job diaries, and MSE list (Material, Subsistence, Equipment).
  16. Support field operations with coordination of scheduled customer shutdowns, ensuring minimal disruption.
  17. Coordinate with project management to confirm upcoming jobs are cleared, and ready for construction.
  18. Coordinate job packs and review and interpret construction drawings and crew instructions.
  19. Communicate with customers, and all internal departments involved with the project, regarding project plan & daily scope execution.
  20. Support operations and GF to facilitate updated project schedule.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • The ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, overtime, or shift work as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • The ability to quickly learn and utilize HCSS Heavy Job Field Management Software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Education and Experience

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred:

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 1-2 years of Construction Administration or related experience, preferably in the construction utility industry.
