Director of Estate Management


This position is remote with travel to the estates as required.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the daily operations of residences, managing a team of staff members, including property managers, housekeepers, chauffeurs, chefs, and other support staff.
  • Recruit, train, and onboard new staff members to ensure seamless household operations.
  • Collaborate with staff throughout the residences to ensure effective communication and project management.
  • Establish and maintain a line of communication and updates on all projects, ensuring timely completion and quality results.
  • Work with advanced technology home systems, security systems, and smart home systems to ensure optimal functionality and security.
  • Oversee construction and renovation projects, from design to completion, ensuring compliance with permits and regulations.
  • Manage vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Curate and manage an extensive art collection, including installation, storage, and cataloging of new and existing pieces.
  • Oversee landscaping, fountain, and pool maintenance contractors to ensure exceptional outdoor spaces.
  • Exercise sound judgment and initiative to accomplish tasks and make informed decisions.
  • Perform errands and special requests as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Conduct research on special projects to ensure informed decision-making.


Requirements:


  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in estate management, with a strong background in project management and construction.
  • Monthly travel to the estates is required, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, vendors, and contractors.
  • Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong technological skills, with proficiency in advanced home systems and security systems.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a comprehensive background check.
