Job Title: Director, Financial Aid

The Director of Student Financial Aid (DSFA) plays a critical role in ensuring the financial well-being of students at Capitol Technology University. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment and Financial Aid, the DSFA provides strategic leadership and oversight for the development, implementation, and management of processes and systems related to Title IV programs, institutional assistance programs, state programs, veteran's educational benefits, and other assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement annual plans to achieve financial aid goals
  • Coordinate and participate in outreach to external stakeholders to promote student financial aid
  • Develop procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state financial aid regulations
  • Prepare formal fiscal and funding reports for external regulatory organizations
  • Disburse funds and award scholarships to eligible students
  • Determine departmental policy and procedures
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive calling campaign to prospective students
  • Recommend and monitor the budget for financial aid programs
Requirements:
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to student success
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations
  • Minimum of five years of related financial aid experience
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • Proven track record of progressive experience at a managerial level in financial aid
