Cardiac Sonographer Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures, documenting patient information, and assisting cardiologists with imaging and equipment operation. Additionally, you will provide clinical training to students and Cardiology Fellows associated with the Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Lab.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease
- Document patient clinical history and technologist impressions of images obtained on exam request forms
- Assist cardiologists with obtaining images and equipment operation during transesophageal echocardiography
- Provide clinical training to students and Cardiology Fellows
- Rotate on-call schedule covering off-hours and weekend rotation
- Graduate of an AMA-approved program in ultrasound or other allied health profession
- Registry-eligible and must sit for registry and become RDCS/RCS within the first year of employment
- CPR certification
- IV experience with saline contrast and Definity contrast
- Experience in Transesophageal echo, stress echo, dobutamine stress echo, and adult echo
