Cardiac Sonographer

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease through the performance of diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease
- Document patient's clinical history and technologist impressions of the images obtained on exam request forms
- Assist the cardiologist with obtaining images and equipment operation during transesophageal echocardiography
- Assist in the instruction of cardiac ultrasound students and Cardiology Fellows during their practice performance at Christiana Care
- Rotate on on-call schedule covering off hours and weekend pediatric echocardiography, if experienced
- Must be a graduate of an AMA-approved program in ultrasound or other allied health profession or possess equivalent training
- Registry-eligible and must sit for registry and become RDCS/RCS within the first year of employment
- Pass the registry exam from either the ARDMS or RDCS
- CPR experience with saline contrast and Definity contrast
- Experience in Transesophageal echo, stress echo, dobutamine stress echo and adult echo
