Job Overview

Compensation: $17.00/hour

Core Responsibilities
Authenticate all transportation and content documentation along with vehicle seals. Perform inspections on mobile containers, storage units, and vehicles. Screen individuals such as visitors, couriers, and contractors before granting access to the premises. Examine food and beverage carts prior to their dispatch for delivery. Record security-related inquiries from tenants, employees, and the public. Prepare reports regarding any criminal or suspicious activities involving the company's assets, personnel, or operations. Inform the management team of any emergencies or security incidents for timely resolution. Manage all building emergency alarms (e.g., fire, elevator entrapment, intercom, etc.). Maintain an inventory of keys, radios, and other equipment, and distribute keys to contractors. Execute additional security-related tasks as required. Uphold established protocols that align with airport and airline security standards and regulations. Inspect airline catering carts, pallets, and vehicles for compliance. Ensure adherence to all company standard operating procedures and policies. Collaborate with colleagues to conduct thorough inspections of carts. Assist in gathering data for inspection incident statistics. Document inspection activities for statistical analysis. Operate a pallet jack for loading commodities onto trucks. Carry out other relevant duties as assigned, in line with the skills and experience expected for this role.Essential Qualifications

Pre-requisites:
  • Must possess the ability to understand and communicate effectively in spoken English.
  • Must be a local resident.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check spanning up to 10 years.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as per the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
  • Completion of SIDA training is required to obtain airport authority identification security.

Security License Requirements:
  • Preferred: Licensed Security Guard Card.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience:
  • Minimum of 1+ years of relevant experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Able to convey information and instructions verbally and/or via radio equipment.
  • Able to communicate effectively in a professional manner.
  • Familiarity with security principles and practices.
Working Conditions

Work Schedule:
  • (Various Full-Time Shifts) Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime is required.
Work Environment:
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage stressful situations.
  • Must remain alert to moving vehicles, loading equipment, and utilize radio communication.
  • Enjoy outdoor work in varying weather conditions (sun, rain, sleet, or snow) and be prepared for exposure to noise, fumes, dirt, and dust for extended periods.
Physical Demands/Requirements:
  • Must be capable of working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and move items weighing 70 pounds or more regularly, and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on elevated surfaces.
  • Must be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended durations.
  • Must be able to work in confined or elevated spaces.
  • This role involves significant physical activity.
