Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor the entrance for safety and security.
  • Manage the flow of clients, visitors, and staff, ensuring proper sign-in and sign-out procedures.
  • Maintain detailed logs of all traffic and security incidents.
  • Notify program staff of any security breaches and, if necessary, alert local law enforcement.
  • Enforce policies regarding prohibited items, including alcohol, drugs, and unauthorized electronic devices.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the building and surrounding areas to identify safety hazards.
  • Address loitering and ensure compliance with house rules.
  • Document any violations and report them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions and staff meetings.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Minimum of one to two years of experience in security or a related field.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, including those experiencing homelessness or mental health challenges, is preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish is an advantage.
