The Vertex Internship Program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and the skills necessary to succeed in a career in research and development. You will be responsible for assisting our scientific staff in the process development and production of viral vectors, and will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and contribute to the growth and success of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist scientific staff in the process development and production of viral vectors
  • Contribute to the growth and success of our company
  • Develop and implement new ideas and solutions
  • Work closely with our team of experts to achieve project goals

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
  • Majors in biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics, cell biology, cell physiology, chemistry, pharmacology, genetics, or a related field of study
  • Permanent legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Candidate must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before May 2025
  • Candidate must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week from May - August 2025

Program Dates: May - August 2025, Full Time

Flex Designation: Hybrid-Eligible Or On-Site Eligible

Flex Eligibility Status: In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as: 1. Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select 2. On-Site: work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.

The Flex status for this position is subject to Vertex's Policy on Flex @ Vertex Program and may be changed at any time.
