Job Title: Worm Operation

This position is responsible for the management and cultivation of a healthy worm population to produce high-quality worm castings. The successful candidate will oversee the procurement of operational supplies and ensure the efficient operation of the worm farm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with plant managers and leaders to meet output goals and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Determine the frequency of turning worm boxes and inspect worm inputs, boxes, and castings.
  • Supervise staff assigned to work in the worm casting operations and make reports on time, equipment, materials, and production.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and federal/state regulations.
  • Manage data in spreadsheets and reports, and perform other duties related to plant operations and procurement.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma required.
  • 4 years' experience in a leadership/supervisory role, with demonstrated leadership skills and experience leading a team/department.
  • Manufacturing/farming/administrative experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in keeping records of time, production, and costs, and making reports and recommendations for improvement.
Computer Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems preferred.
