We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Westlake Financial. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. This is an on-site role in Los Angeles, CA, and requires a strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial analysis skills.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial journal entries and reports for month-end.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with annual audit preparations.
  • Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
  • Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
  • Perform other accounting duties and support junior staff as required or assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Strong financial analysis skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and stress management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
  • Ability to train and manage staff.
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision.
