Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Alarm Service Technician to join our team at Federal Protection Inc. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining security systems in various locations, including financial, commercial, and residential areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and troubleshoot malfunctions in security equipment, replacing or repairing defective components as needed.
  • Remove and replace defective electronic, electrical, and mechanical components, utilizing knowledge of equipment operation and repair.
  • Test and operate equipment to ensure that defects have been corrected.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local laws applicable to the position and employment generally.
  • Accurately complete all paperwork, including timesheets, in a timely manner.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Any combination of education and experience that provides the required skill and knowledge.
  • Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
    • Minimum of two years work experience.
    • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of security systems, including Bosch, Brivo, DMP, Diebold, Hamilton, Skilcraft, Ademco, CCTV, and NCR ATM's.
  • Ability to use hand tools and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
Working Conditions

This role requires:

  • Walking up and down stairs.
  • Lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Bending and crouching to work on equipment.
  • Working in confined areas.
  • Use of various cleaning supplies.
  • Climbing ladders.
Reporting and Hours of Work

This position reports to the Service Manager and is classified as non-exempt. The typical hours of work are Monday-Friday with rotating on-call shifts. Flexibility is required to service customers.
