About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Director of System Strategy to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. This is a remote position that requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of healthcare strategy, analytics, and partnership development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Facilitate and support strategic direction and thought leadership for the system-wide strategic planning processes and initiatives in alignment with the organization's mission, strategic priorities, and desired brand positioning.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and lead the implementation of comprehensive strategic plans at the system level aligned with the organization's mission, vision, brand identity, and positioning, and long-term objectives.
  • Innovation and Technology: Leverage strategy, analytics, and approaches to accelerate performance and maintain a leading edge in strategy effectiveness and growth.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategy efforts with organizational objectives and strategic positioning. Engage with key stakeholders to advance the health system's mission.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the progress and impact of strategic initiatives. Monitor financial performance and other relevant metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Integration and Change Management: Establish and oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives across the health system. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational culture, values, and goals.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to strategic planning. Identify and mitigate risks associated with strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field. Master's degree preferred (or commensurate experience).
  • Experience: Proven experience (minimum 5-10 years) in healthcare strategy and analytics, with a track record of success in driving growth and executing complex strategic initiatives.
  • Skills: A strategy-first mindset, with the ability to leverage strategic analytics to drive business results consistent with the system strategy. Strong understanding of healthcare industry dynamics, market trends, and regulatory environment. Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies and initiatives.
