The Financial Planner Associate role is essential for client service, reporting directly to the Financial Professional, and plays a pivotal role in optimizing the FinPro's time. This position requires exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities to deliver timely, efficient, and professional information to clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support client meeting preparations and follow-ups, including gathering necessary documentation, creating proposals, generating reports, scheduling appointments, and completing post-meeting paperwork.
  • Conduct research on investment and insurance products and pricing; prepare proposals and applications for annuities, life insurance, long-term care insurance, and disability insurance.
  • Maintain the CRM database; manage client and prospective client workflows, coordinating follow-ups with Advisors.
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated investment performance reports.
  • Contribute to financial planning strategies using EMoney software: collaborate with Advisors by collecting client financial data, creating Net Worth statements, inputting data into software, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness for all submitted work; proactively seek opportunities to assist Advisors in effective planning, maximizing data, defining best practices, and identifying high-impact activities; compile all necessary data from current or prospective clients (assets, liabilities, insurance policies, estate documents, tax returns, etc.).
  • Address client needs regarding processing, service, and problem resolution promptly and accurately while ensuring compliance with documentation and record-keeping standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with Broker Dealer for new account setup, account maintenance, and compliance matters.
  • Strengthen client relationships and establish credibility and rapport both in-person and via phone to enhance clients' financial connections.
  • Manage multiple and competing priorities daily to achieve business objectives.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with financial planning/reporting software is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities; capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners and influence others without direct authority.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will possess 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry, providing a solid understanding of broker/dealer operations and financial products, including but not limited to: annuities, insurance, and managed accounts.
  • Previous experience in an independent financial services environment is preferred.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Series 7 and 65/66 licenses are preferred (or the ability to obtain them).
  • CFP designation is preferred (or willingness to pursue).
Compensation Structure
  • Compensation is based on qualifications, experience, the external market, and specific performance criteria.
  • Salary is typically reviewed annually or when responsibilities and/or job requirements change.
  • This position offers a base salary along with potential bonus income. Salary increases are not guaranteed.
